Precautions for Using Acrylic Sheets
Release Date: 2025-12-25
1. Regarding Temperature
Thin acrylic sheets may soften when exposed to or heated above 100°C. Therefore, avoid use in environments exceeding 85°C.
2. Regarding Cracks and Scratches
The surface hardness of acrylic is comparable to that of aluminum. Handle with care to protect the surface. If scratches occur, polish with an aluminum-specific abrasive compound to restore its smooth finish.
3. Regarding Cleaning
Rubbing the surface with a dry cloth may generate static electricity, attracting dust. To clean, use a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap solution (approximately 1% concentration).
4. Regarding Thermal Expansion
Acrylic sheets have a relatively high coefficient of thermal expansion—approximately nine times that of metals. When installing or securing acrylic, account for temperature variations and ensure sufficient allowance for expansion and contraction.
